You probably already know this, but that was a bad move. I'm a veteran myself, so I know what you have to pay for the GI Bill - $100 per month for 12 months. It was a small price to pay for the amount of educational benefits that you get in return. Good luck on getting the help you need.
It would probably help if you could provide the information of the county officials that need the information. Speaking for myself, I'm a little skeptical of providing information about myself (even if it is just my name) in this day and age.
