Police chief killed in Mexico amid wave of violence

Mexico City - A police chief in the Mexican town of Cardenas was killed Monday, taking some 40 shots to the head in the latest of a wave of murders that have shaken Mexico in recent days, authorities said.

And Mexico papers had the gaul to make fun of the US about the Virginia Tech murders/US gun laws.

I am sending your news link to a friend who has paid the $4,000 entry fee and is building a Shelby GT350 for this fall's rally. The racers will have their own police escort during the events northbound. However, getting to the Guatemalan border for the start of the race is a problem. They convoy through Mexico City at midnight. Read my friend's blog from the bottom up, as with any blog.

yeah its crazy down there, i am hispanic and live about a 15 minute drive from the Mexican border and have not set foot into Mexico in about 10 years. good people bad country (well bad government).
