Mexico's Senate Seeks To Delay Pilot Border Trucking Program (Nasdaq)
MEXICO CITY -(Dow Jones)- Mexico's Senate plans to ask the government to delay until July a pilot program that would allow Mexican trucks into the U.S. and U.S. trucks into Mexico, the Communications and Transport Ministry said Monday.
Mexican truckers are concerned that their U.S. counterparts will have an advantage when they're allowed into Mexico six months later. The U.S. Teamsters union and some legislators are also opposed to the program, citing safety concerns about Mexican trucks in the U.S.
Maybe we should email all of them and tell them how much they are wanted up here ya think?
What advantage would we have over them in their own country ? Certainly we wouldn't run the freight for less than what they would. If anything they would have the advantage here because there is absoulty no doubt that they would run what ever for less.
