On the Road Etiquette

I'm a rookie truck driver. I have been at this for 8 months now and have a long way to go. I love this job, but it's irritating to see "seasoned truckers" become ROAD HOGS on the road. What's with you guys and gals? Why is it that some of you are ready and willing to run the other drivers off of the road? It seems that company drivers are at a disadvantage when it comes to OTR trucking. But, being new to the trade, someday, before I get older and grayer, I hope to have one of those "get the hell out of my way" rigs. Any and all comments are welcome.
