Yet another noob... sorry
I am new to trucking..... so new that I haven't even started lol. I am suppose to start swift next month(so I have heard not the best but they are paying my training) I had a few questions about being a trucker in general not about swift. I know you live in your truck. When you are on your rest period does your company usually give you much crap if you unhook the trailer at the truck stop and go into town for the night to look around? I heard from a few truckers they do it all the time, just unhitch at a truck stop and go into town to buy something and hook back up. Just curious over all cause this is something imporant to me. I feel I can handle trucking but if I am going to live in my truck on my off hours I don't want to be stuck just sitting in the truck doing nothing. Also I hear on here a LOT that car hauling pays really well . Why does it pay so well and why does it wear your body out so much cause I hear that a lot as well. Thanks for ANY help you can give. thanks
sincerely new to trucking
