Default Teamsters Salute House Vote to Delay Unsafe Mexican Trucks Plan

We Won Big!!!

The House voted in overwhelming support to approve the Safe Roads Bill of 2007. The tally was 411-3 in favor of delaying Mexican trucks general access to American highways.

Teamsters Salute House Vote to Delay Unsafe Mexican Trucks Plan

The battle is not over yet. We must get the same type of support from the Senate and we must voice our concerns to the DOT. Below is a link with information on how to let the DOT know how we feel. Let's all keep the ball rolling and fight the good fight!! I was also informed that the best way to communicate with our Senators is to snail mail directly to their local office or call the local office on the phone. Emails, either locally or to Wash. DC, usually get caught up in the rest of the garbage they receive via the internet.

Tell DOT: No Mexican Trucks

This topic was very stressful to me, I am thinking of changing careers and that worried me. My thought was that they would come down and drive down the pay scale

Default Compromise

I guess the fix is in! Stop hard working Mexican truck drivers from coming into the country, but let 12 to 20 million people from God knows where stay here.
What really makes me angry where I don't care about any of it, is fact that when they're given amnesty they will have joined us, and become the lazy Americans where it is okay for foreigners to come in and take their jobs.
The only reason we fear Mexican trucks is because we know are government will screw us. I'm 45, how many times have Truckers, for that matter the Blue Collar Middle Class has been screwed since 1970?
This will be the third time with immigration, and expecting a different result, isn't that the definition of insanity?

Every year on July 4, Americans flock out to see the pretty fireworks and wave Old Glory around, but how many of them would risk thier lifes' for freedom from homegrown tyranny these days on these shores?

A: Few, very few, so I'll say what most people wont, or are too afraid to speak of:

You only keep the freedoms and rights you are willing to fight for, and that fact is something that seems to have been forgotten over the years since the 1960's when the Blacks took back thier rights.

Same thing goes for when working men and women who got fed up and formed labor unions, using force, back in the early to mid 1900's.

Sorry folks, but until or unless this hits the streets like it did back then, expect more of the same shafting you have been getting from Uncle Sam's henchmen on the hill.
