Default Company question

Hello; I retired early(55). I took driving school and drove for a short time in the early seventies when we had chaffuers license. I would like to drive again. I have looked at all the co's. that offer training and no one has good things to say. I did talk to a driver from Swift and he didn't have anything bad to say. Although he did say he was applying at a different company after his first year??? Anyway, I know it's been asked before, but for a retired guy who wants to drive, how bad can it be? Just me and my wife to support and we like to travel. Any suggestions?

I see from your profile you're out of Washington state ? well try looking at boat haulers. Companys like Swift and JB like to have their people sit a lot from the ones I talked to anyway. If ya pull a refer you got a schedule most of the time and they usually run pretty tight. Look at a flat bed company if ya just want to drive with out all the pressure. Not to say that they are any better but they do seem to be more liserly about the time thing. LASCO Bathware has a wharehouse in Washington state someplace if I remember but they don't allow riders.
Good luck no matter what company you go with.
