Roadside Truck Inspections

I had heard that DOT was going to be conducting roadside inspections the first full week of June. I found a "Cross Border Truck Safety Inspection Program" at DOT's website. It's possible it may be of some use to prepare us for the onslaught. I found it interesting. You can find it at U.S. Department of Transportation / Cross Border Truck Safety Inspection Program

from what i understand it's just a 72 hr blitz that DOT is trying to pull over as many as possible to give a quick inspection and inform drivers of new regulations. a friend of mine (O/O) got pulled over tuesday and went thru the inspection. from what i also understand is they won't pull over the big trucks on the turnpikes during all this. so good luck tomorrow and try to stay one step ahead of the man for one more day.
