Just wondering if any of us old timers can give some advise to the noobs. What little things do you do out there that makes your job easier that would help others.
Personally i have figured out a long time ago how aggrevating it can be to pull the handle on the fifth wheel sometimes. It just seems like it doesn't want to let go. I have figured after i back up i pull the trailer brakes and continue to back just a little and then apply the tractor air brakes and the handle then pulls easy.
When backing up, don't be lazy, get out and walk to the back of the trailer if you are unsure, I can't tell you how many times doing just that saved me alot of grief.
