Default What trucking sites do you recommend

Hey, I'm new to trucking and I'm indirectly involved with the industry. I'm responsible for making a site for truckers and I want to make sure it's really good. I had no idea truckers used the Net--I thought they didn't because they were always on the road, but then I learned a lot of you use 'em when you're on the road. Who knew?

I've seen a gajillion sites and what I've mostly seen is stuff for jobs, stuff for schools, stuff on news and legislation, and places trying to sell software, truck parts, or weird stuff.

What stuff do you like and what don't you like? What sucks and what doesn't?

You can use specific examples if you want--I won't because if I do, you'll think I'm from that specific site.

Whatever you can tell me what be great. Basically, no one likes a page that they go to that seems like it'll be good and instead ends up being stupid. So, for example, if you hate school websites, I won't link to them, etc.

Uh, I hope that made sense.

Bah, I can't figure out how to edit my post.

The deleted post (hope I can mention this) basically said that I was treating truck drivers as if they're stupid, simply because I thought they weren't that into the Internet. He probably thought I'm saying they don't use it all or know what it is or something, and I was simply saying I didn't know they used it that much, because I (ignorantly) thought they were gone a lot of the time and I didn't know they could get the Net with their trucks.

So again, I'm just wondering what you use the Internet for, with regards to trucking (I know y'all use email, etc.).

I'm not an OTR driver but if I were I would be using the internet in the truck for the same things I do at home, e-mail, truckingoards, 4x4 truck sites, old truck pics, and general surfing, news, to find things I want to learn about.
