looking for Romanian truck driver

Hello everybody,

Although I admire the way truck drivers handle their huge trucks, my question isn’t about driving.

I am a Dutch woman and at May 18th I sat next to a very kind Romanian guy while flying from Munich to Boston. He was very kind and helpful to me, we had a nice conversation and it was fun to be with him. I didn’t dare to ask his email address or phone number . Now I wonder how he is doing and would like to be in touch with him.

He told me he was going to be a truck driver in Chicago (or somewhere else in Illinois) together with a couple of friends. That’s why I hope I can find him through this forum. I know he is 36 year old, short blond hair, green eyes, slim, no glasses, well groomed appearance, no moustache or beard, tall and I think his name is Ion.

Please email me when you think you know him. Any information like which companies/recruiters in Illinois hire Romanian truck drivers will be helpful as well, then I will take it from there.

Welcome to Truckingboards. Chicago is full of foreign drivers so it might be hard to find your friend. Good luck though.

You might try sending a letter to this person through the airline.

Indicate the seat number and flight and ask them to forward the letter to the person sitting beside you.

The do have an address for that person.

I tried but Lufthansa isn't very helpful with that, privacy legislation and probably too much work when they have to send a letter to him. But I keep on trying

By the way, it was my first visit to USA and all Americans I met were very kind to me. I had a wonderful time in USA!

I do a route in chicago on fridays, and it seems like most of the east europeans pull intermodal containers. That probably doesnt help much.
