License Suspended 6 years ago, can i get hired

hi to all, I got a newby question. About six years ago my license was suspended from acumalating demerit points, I live in canada i dont know how the system is else where, but I had about 4 tickets in a span of 4 months that led to my license being suspended. I had a break up with the girlfriend so i was pretty messed up back then, but since the last 6 years I got a clean driving record, am i able to find any work?? or am i gonna have a hard time. Any comments or suggestions would be appreciated. ThX

Usually if your license has been clean for the last 5yrs you should'nt have much of a problem.That's here in the states cant speak of Canada.Like stldude said just be honest.

Here where I live in New York state.
We can go to our department of motor vehicles office,and have them look up our driving record by putting our license numbers in their computer.
It takes about a week to 10 days, and we will get our record sent to us in the mail.
If we had a bunch of points,long enough ago we will have a clean record.
When you have a clean report nobody else will know what we had on it before it became clean,so you won't have to bring it up,when your looking for work.
I don't know anything about Canada,but this is how it works in the state I live in.

it works the same way here in canada, drivers abstract they call it, which is a record of your driving for last 5 years, i do have a "clean drivers abstract" yes your right I dont even have to mention it BUT in most company applications they also ask weather my license has been suspended before? so i dont know weather i should just keep it a secret and take the risk and say no hoping they would only check the last 5 years or should i tell them about it.
