Default Advice Needed

Hi everyone, my husband is wanting to start trucking and I really don't know what I am in for. I have read a few threads and to be honest I am not liking what I hear. Before I got in this relationship I was a singe mother to my daughter and since this relationship we now have another baby. I am starting my schooling to be a Nurse and now he wants to start trucking. I guess what I want to know is how will my life be affected. What will our kids go through. What will be my role as a wife of a trucker and a mother. Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks

i am using my hubby's sign on. He has had his CDL for 7 years and we have been fortunate that he has had local runs. they are mostly night shift, but that is still good. our son is 13 and he is going to try to get a regional run now. some of the smaller local compaines pay decent and will give him a chance to drive and be with his family. if you are in north florida,south georgia i could suggest a few

HWTT;

You could be in for a lot of different things.

Trucking is a very diverse industry, and there are so many different aspects.

We could tell you that you would become, basically, a widow.

Or, we could tell you that you would not notice any difference at all.

These would be the two ends of the spectrum, and your life will fall somewhere in between.

What needs to be determined is: Why does he wish to go trucking?

The answer to this question will help us to anticipate how he looks at his future in trucking.

you are in for a shocking life changing experience that will suck at times and be great at others. trucking is not a lifestyle, it's a work style. everything evolves around it one way or the other. my best advice to you 2 would be communication and understanding to make your relationship work or you and he will find yourselves once again single.
