Its just like running a commercial on tv, its exposure, why would any company sponser nascar for those big bucks it cost to get their name on the car, I would imagine trick my truck is pretty popular among truckers, I love that show, and I do remember the name jb hunt when I see their loaner, probably cheaper than most other advertising too, thats just my take. By the way how are you doing, your job hunt and such.

most companys won't touch me because i live 100miles south of tampa, so i am looking in my area for owner ops in my area and i am pitching "please teach me to drive and i will wash your truck and such and if you help me i will sign a contract to work for that person if they have more than one truck for one year at 29 cents a mile once i have my full cdl but while training just feed me and make sure i have a few bucks in my pocket so i can go to the docs and get my d.o.t. and pay for the test and what ever else is nessary for me to get.

thank you for asking and yes i am still trying hard.

10-4 I knew a guy who hauled plants out of FL. he made a killing, mabey you can do something like that once you learn, I can't believe living 100 mi. from Tampa would make a difference to these OTR companies, 100 mi. is nothing. You would think 1.5 hrs would mean anything when you are on the road all the time.

I know you probably won’t be interested but I have a friend that lives in Punta Gorda. He drives school bus, and says that he makes fairly good money. He is old, I would say over 75, and how he does it is beyond me. Screaming kids, and the other bull that goes on, it a lot different now than when we went to school. Kids get away with a lot. It is just an idea, he said that they are hurting for drivers; it shows a 75 year old man is what they have. Good luck on your job search, by the way. You ever here of a company called PLOOF. When I worked in Florida (Lakeland) I used to see their trucks, looked to be a decent company.
