Money, There is a shortage of truck drivers all around, so lets drive the drivers we have too death, sounds good to me. You know as I do, if you can drive 11 Hrs. effectively, why not 12, 13, 14,15 and so on and so on, being a driver I agree with the courts ruling.

Default another excuse for the Companies

If I understand what I have been reading here and elsewhere. In September the HOS will roll back to 10 hours driving... That will give companies more excuse to raise freight costs and at the same time decrease several hundred thousand truck drivers pay. So they are saying that it will effect the economy negatively by rolling the HOS back to 2003 rules.

I don't think we have to worry about any extending of driving hours. The groups pushing this want us to work 8 hour days like 'normal' folks. 8 hours? I couldn't even do my Reno/Salt Lake run in 8 hours...! No, I don't think any extension of driving hours is at play here. Our lifestyles are at stake. And except for putting our breaks and lunch inside the 14 hours (the dumbest thing they EVER did!), I like the present HOS rules.

I think it's time the truckload outfits and the freight carriers get together and stand up to this crap...
