A question for LTL and/or local city drivers

What kind of discipline or reprimand do your company drivers get for mis-delivered freight??
We have a driver who has been delivering & mixing the customer's freight lately. He will leave an extra carton here or there and is just not paying attention . Any takers??

When I was in the city at Fedex they would just piss and moan about it or bring it up in a pre-shift and single you out, I never saw any disipline delt out for doing that.

At my terminal,first you get reemed out by my TM.
The second time its a write up,that goes in your file for as long as you work here.

I don't know what the next step is?
Usually after getting written up,you watch everything you do very closely.

yeah, i worked for a trucking company that would write up drivers, maybe even suspend them for a day or two, but never really fire anyone. heck, they have so much trouble finding drivers now as it is, they won't be able to replace everyone they fire simply because of freight going someplace else. and who's to say that the mis-directed freight isn't appreciated someplace else...??

i know i always like packages i never ordered...............

just as long as they ain't packages full of "crap"...........

Yeah I have gotten pulled in on a detail that I despise .... I am representing the drivers on this one ....trying to keep the guys job but, he is NOT helping the situation . He is pulling this stunt two or three times a month ! Making it tough on us all ! Oh well thanks for the input guys just wondering how other outfits deal with this & if anyone else has anything to add ...CHIME IN , PLEASE.

One of our drivers just left some freight on a customers dock last week. They just made him go pick it back up.
