I'm sure the big companies pushing this will send their best equipment, but there are MANY other reasons we don't need Mexican trucks in the USA. Call your law makers today.

Thumbs down Border Crossing Means Low Wages

How long before we start looking on Career Builder, Help Wanted, Monster, Local newspapers before we see ads such as:

"Driver wanted, 20 CPM, or $12.50 per hour. No benefits, but all the miles you want. Home weekends, Sat. noon till Sunday noon."

This whole issue is we should have known that Bush was bad news even before he became president in 2000. Like many I was disgusted with Clinton's stupid sexual antics and I thought we needed a change. Looking back I can now see how lucky we were that Clinton kept us out of a ground war in Yugoslavia. On the other hand the whole business of BushCo is war, as it has been since the time of old grandaddy Prescott.

NAFTA should be blaimed for much of our economic woes in the U.S. I think it is a primary reason why so many Mexicans feel forced to leave Mexico to come here in the first place. The population of America has been so transfixed by the Cold War and now the War On Terror that we have forgotten that the primary war taking place, that has been fought for Millennia, is the Class War, of the rich developing new and creative ways of stealing from the poor. We still have a large Middle Class in the US, but it is fading fast, and most middle class people still seem to think that we need to be on the side of the rich! What a Con! Thank you Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity!

The solution:

We need a new form of economics. The rich have had enough breaks. I say we need "Trickle Up Economics." We should re-invest in infrastructure, not war. Instead of taxing the middle class, we need to tax trade, we need to tax real estate and stock market speculation, and we need to start taxing the rich according to the same levels they were taxed in the '50s and '60s! There should be a legislated cap on CEO salaries that is directly related to the pay of that company's average worker. Having a CEO take home a salary 1000 times more than his factory worker is criminal.

Of course Big Business and Big Media would scream their heads off, but after only a few years of this shock therapy we would see a major correction to the situation.
