Exclamation Marriage between Railroads and Trucking Companies

I was wondering what the drivers felt about the increasing relationships between the nations railroads and the larger trucking companies. Once they were mortal enemies, but now they are like new lovers. I see it all from a very different perspective as I run an IMC (Intermodal marketing Company) as well as a brokerage. I can tell you that I see more and more road trailers going via steel rails and the railroads embracing like never before.

I remember when I drove for yellow freight we used the rail a lot.All the freight carriers used it.UPS did a lot and then there were the companys like Swift and JB Hunt.I think the rail times have gotten better thats why the companys use them now.Cost sure isn't the reason.I asked the freight director in LCP one time about the cost and he said I really didn't want to know.It was high.
