On hand for the event were U.S. Commerce Secretary Carlos Gutierrez, U.S. Transportation Secretary Mary Peters, and Mexican Communications and Transport Secretary Luis Tellez, in town lobbying members of Congress on behalf of the program.
"With a change of just a few words, Congress can show that we can trade with the world, keep our highways safe and keep our country competitive all at the same time," Peters said.
