Thinking about getting out of trucking. It was fun and challenging learning how to drive. The reward was being able to work for one of the best LTL companies as a new driver - Yellow. However, with the economic slow down and my safety at stake, I think that it's time to move on to something else. I don't blame Yellow or the Teamsters for the way that things are (they could be better). I like living a lot more than I like driving a truck and being at the bottom of the board doesn't give me the freedom to pick and choose who I drive with. I could care less how much money I'm being paid. You can't spend a thing while taking a dirt nap.
I've been looking at taking a couple of courses and freight brokering came to mind. Does anyone have any experience with the logistical side of trucking? |
