Default Anybody on here currently drive Tankers?

Just wondering if anyone on here drives Tankers or any other Hazardous Material Trucks? I heard that some of those guys get paid $35/hr or close to $60,000 to $70,000 a year, like for companies like Kag West, Williams TankLines, etc. Anyway, is this true?

60 to 70k sounds about right. 35/hr is a stretch, maybe their time and a half is 35/hr. see this thread:

Anybody deliver fuel?

If you are talking OTR tankers..Figure 70 hours a week.... So take 70,000 dollars divide that by 52 and divide that by 70 it comes out to $19.23 per hour....
I pulled tanker regionally here in the summer we hauled liquid asphalt it payed pretty good but in the winter we pulled mollasses and that was almost an insult to haul as far as being cheap freight..I was paid a percentage so I felt the glory and defeat of the trucking rates game...
