The DOT doesn't give a d@mn about our safety. The government doesn't give a d@mn about its people or what they have to say. The gov't hasn't been for the people in a looong time.
The only thing that'll change any of this bs is another Revolution. Plain and simple, it's time for bullets to fly. It's time our voice (U.S. citizens--not just the wealthy) is no longer ignored.
Sure, these scumbags talk a good game. Promise the same things over and over and over. They're gonna do whats best for all. Until they get their worthless, lying, bribe-taking a$$e$ in office.
Then its lawmaking in favor of the highest bidder all over again.
It's time for it to stop. We have to unite and take our D@mn country back.

Cool keep mexicans in mexico

they need to keep the mexicans and their pos trucks in mexico. sure there is a truck driver shortage but if you let them come over haul freight fo 1/2 what the rate is now then the "legal" citizens will be going broke and trying to fing freight that just barely breaks even and you will be adding to the illegal imigration problem on top of it

Lumber,
Welcome to Truckingboards. Good 1st post too. I used to think that trucking was safe from exporting jobs like most manufacturing has done........I wasn't insightful enough to think they'd import foreign drivers to get the job done in trucking. The onslaught on American workers seems to have no end in sight.

Well it looks like a another battle coming our way again.I am not sure of what interest the DOT has other than they are being pushed by their boss the "Deaf Dummy" who resides at 1600 pennsylvania ave. The reason I say deaf is he has been told & told and still refuses the will of the people.
This whole issue is greed on the part of shippers and recievers and some trucking companies who will take advantage of cheaper labor.I noticed that OOIDA and the Teamsters were mentioned in trying to stop this. Funny where was the ATA ? Lest I forget they are to busy
to their Greedy Members to worry about the fate of another American worker. One who their members would love to replace with a mexican at .17 per mile.
