Question Specialized?

Hello,
I have been researching truck co.'s for a while and would like to go flatbed. Maverick seems to be a pretty good fit for me, but.................

I had to have stents put in my heart 4 months ago and didn't know if this would be detriment to my possible hiring with the co. What do you think?

I have been doing deliveries locally for a small co. where I live for about 3 months in a straight truck. They have lost a major account with a window manufacturer. The co. is fledgling to say the least.

I would like to get into specialized and heavy haul. So here are my ?'s

Is hometime the same as the the regular division?

have you heard how long the wait is for CDL school?

Should I go ahead and turn in an application and talk to a recruiter or have a stress test done in advance ( per DOT regs.)?

More ?'s to come, Thanks in advance.

Is it true that a first year guy can make close to 50k gross? I'm paying for school myself or at least going into debt myself but anyway that money sounds good. What's the slow time in flatbedding? I talked to a TMC guy and he told me some not so good things about them. Not sure if Maverick even runs into TX (DFW) for that matter so if you have some info on I'd appreciate that as well.
