Default Which School & Where?

O.K Im back and need your help.
I can apply to Northeastern Technical Institute (NTI) in Maine
or to a school in South Florida,
SAGE at Indian River Community College in Ft. Pierce FL or
ROADMASTER in Orlando; any input on any of thse schools?

Or any other suggestions that are close to Ft. Lauderdale?

Right now its more convenient to get my CDL training in FL but Maine is possible as well.

The confusion and "propaganda" on the where to train websites is overwhelming at this point...Thank you

Hey,
From what I heard Roadmaster is a good school. I been on their grounds down in Orlando. There's also TDI in sanford florida. That's where I went and I had great instructors, and trainers. If ur able u might want check them out. Truck Drivers Institute (TDI). I'm not sure if there is a school in Pompano or Deerfield beach, but I used to see a training trailer pass down U.S. 1 (Fed. Hwy.). Never paid attention to the address n don't remember the name.

I attended Roadmaster about a year ago, and yes, I do have my CDL A. They got me there. If I had to do it over again I might have gone to my local community college, as I know they have a grade A program for 1/4 the cost, and I would have started out much more comfortable in a truck. But hey, I do have my CDL. It only took 3 weeks. (You've got to put forth the effort though, don't think they are just gonna hand it to ya')

Thanks I will look into the sugesstions today.
My biggest concern is finding a place that is going to train me right, and help me with the all the nuts and bolts of the process. The permiting, licensing & road testing, and not just take my money and leave me to figure everything else out on my own. My second concern is time, I dont really want to take a full semester course but I want to make sure that in the shortest amount of time I get the best training I can...I definitely dont want to get out there and feel like I'm not prepared, putting myself and others in danger.

You should go through the school where you currently have your drivers license issued from. Otherwise it will cost you extra money to transfer your license over to a different state.

My drivers license is from Maine and I plan on being there in Jan/Feb. I am going to SAGE in Florida next week, to meet and greet and discuss options etc; it is a 4 week program. (the programs in FL and Maine both start in January) If I go to school in Florida will I still be recruited by companies in Maine? this is something I need to discuss w/SAGE?
Or should I not consider going to school in Florida and go to school in Maine instead or does it not matter?
Transfering my license alone as far as cost does not seem prohibitive but the prospect of employment opportunities are my "Maine" consideration.....
