GPS Receivers

I'm moving to an unfamiliar city and would like to purchase a dashboard or window mounted GPS receiver to assist me in getting aquainted with the area. I need a loud text to speech voice, one that is loud enough to be heard in a tractor-trailer. Price range would be under $300 but the cheaper the better. Anyone have any recommendations? Thanks.

On black friday Walmart was selling the Garmin C-330 for $128.00, normally $178.00. My friend bought 2 of them. I have had my C-330 for about a year and paid $350.00 down from $450.00. I like the C-330 even though it has no bells or whistles. It has voice but doesn't name the streets like some higher priced models. Just prints the street at the top of the screen and says things like "make a right turn in 500 feet". Prices for all GPS's are falling.
