Common courtesy started disappearing many years ago unfortunately. It seems the "It's all about me" generation has flooded the highways. It's not only newer drivers though...there are many who know better and don't do it either. Evidently the CDL mills don't teach it.

Default Don't need it

Been doing this for over 36 years and my feeling on the blink, blink is that you should know where the end of your vehicle is at and know when it is clear to pull back. There is exceptions such as a two lane road and maybe someone cut their timing short, or cars piling up behind on a multi-lane. I will thank some one when they give a signal unless it was done with the brights at night. Then I just ignore them. Here in the NW there is only two carriers that I can think of that give such a fast flash with the brights I hardly notice them and They both have day time running lights.

As for the Smokey reports I never have given them. You know what the speed limit is, obey it and you won't have a problem. I haven't had a speed ticket since 1973 personal or commercial. I would be lying to say I have never deserved on in that time. (Use to have a first name relationship with a few weighmasters though.)

the blink blink is kind of annnoying sometimes . especially when your going like 5-10 mph faster than the guy your passing . by the time he blinks his lights your already 500 feet in front of him .lol .like i didnt know i would be pass you in 2 seconds . only time i think its needed is when a guy could barely pass you and hes holding up traffic . but to the guys flying by me in a 65mph zone going 70-72 mph ,i dont do it. jmo
