Default is there a spacific thread for Newbies?

I graduated at the top of my class back in July. I was the only person that was able to alley dock on the first day then never looked back. unfortunatly once I got out of driving school I took on with a couple different expediters that I wasn't to impressed with. Long Story short I turned down Stevens, Swift and TMC and now have ti bite the bullet and go with a big company o that I can get some verifiable miles under my belt.
Well Cr England is beating donw my door to go to them. What does anyone have to say about that. Are they a good company to work for will I make any money and worse case should I just use them to get my time in then jump ship.

Our OTR forum is truckdriverforums.com

You more or less answered your own question though.

Do the time and get the experience and then you have some backing to get on with a company you feel is better.

My opinion is I have heard more bad about CR England then I have of any of the other trucking companies you mentioned you turned down.

Have you thought about Roehl or JB Hunt?

In the end most large companies are not going to be "perfect" but they will help a newbie get his foot in the door.

JB hunt called me yesterday and said they would be happy to hire me if I had 3 mos OTR. I kept their number because I have heard more bad about England since I said yes to them then any of the other companys, like you said . I Have to take the jump and just deal with it eitherway. I am pretty aware of my surrondings so I don't think they can get much over on me. If they do I will learn from it if it don't kill me.
