Mum is still the word on XM and Sirius merger

Eleven months have come and gone since officials with XM Satellite Radio and Sirius Satellite Radio announced their intentions to merge the companies.

As of Friday, Jan. 18, regulators with the U.S. Department of Justice were still mulling over the proposed merger and whether it meets the laws governing fair competition. The Federal Communications Commission is also reviewing the proposal.

I'm with you Demo-man, I just hope that they don't change my programming so that I have to buy another reciever and carry two with me just to get the programming that I like to listen too.

I'm guessing out programming options will get better but I'm not even gonna attempt to guess what's gonna happen with the pricing.

it will probably be a big mess. we'll have to buy new radios and they jack the price up to 16$ a month.

Merge, keep the rates the same, and allow the customer to pick and choose premium channels. They can have Stern,Martha Stewart, and some of the other blowhards.I like the NFL Network and Nascar channel on Sirius but would really like the option of XM ACC hoops..
