Stop-smoking drug

Anyone hear of or use the drug called "Chantix"? My doctor said it was only a few months old but evryone he has prescribed it to has had success. I asked him about side effects and the like but he knew of none. Any input?

Chantix the anti-smoking drug made by Pfizer, was the subject of a Food & Drug Administration (FDA) suicide warning today. Today’s FDA warning follows a Nov. 20, 2007, FDA Early Communication to the public and health care providers that the agency was evaluating postmarketing adverse event reports on Chantix related to changes in behavior, agitation, depressed mood, suicidal ideation, and actual suicidal behavior.

Chantix Gets FDA Suicide Warning

If one person commited suicide while testing this drug, be it because of the drug or not, the company has to list this, smokers are addicted, like alcoholics, when that best friend is taken away, there has to be some depression there, how each person deals with that is their own doing, I wouldn't be scared, I take a drug that one of the side effects is seizure, I have never had one, but one person did while testing it.
