My boyfriend just got a job with Werner, and a major condition was the rider policy because I plan to go with him. "The recruiters told him immediately following his training period I can go with him." But, he was talking with his trainer and found out that it might actually be a few months before I can ride with him.

the "training period" could also include time he spends on his own.......you know, solo.
there is usually a probationary period a new driver goes through. the new driver has to pass this hurdle. having a passenger at this time may be a disruption, in the eyes of the company.
the trainer told him one story.
the recruiter told him another.
he NEEDS to talk with Safety..........they rule..........PERIOD..............
anyone responding to your thread will only be giving thier knowledge of what pertained to THEM..........
each trainee is different...........
the driver-trainer can also have input as to his progress, and werner will listen to him, as he is with your boyfriend, day-in, day-out.
when your boyfriend is finally done with his driver-trainer, have him speak with Safety...........whatever Safety says, goes..........NEITHER ONE OF YOU, DO NOT PUSH THE ISSUE....
