read some books, magazines.

carry an iPod? or some other music thing

carry along some sort of portable game

watch dvd's

take a nap

take some photo's of anything with a digital camera

take a nap

bring along a laptop, maybe e-mail or surf the web

take a nap

look at the map, follow along the route, maybe even "self learn" how to read the map, if you don't already know that.

pay attention to the cb radio for traffic reports

take a nap

that's about all i got right now, except maybe

take a nap...............

I think the best thing you could do is help your husband as much as possible. If he's speeding, let him know he should slow down. If he's following too closely, let him know. Make sure you warn him about every single possible hazard you can see coming. Offer advice on how he should be driving as much as possible, as well as letting him know when he should be stopping and resting. Keep a close eye on his eating habits too, you don't want him to eat anything that's bad for him!

These simple activities will keep you well occupied and I'm sure your husband will appreciate all your helpful advice.

Pull over!!! They'd better learn to multi task, if was gonna cost miles. Try books on CD. You can check out audio books online and download them to an MP3 player. You can also buy used dvd from rentals places for about 5 bucks each. A computer will allow you to play games and surf the net if you have a card.

When I went with "truckin" with a friend, I took a bunch of crossword books and I also had a bunch of games loaded on my laptop (remember an inverter to plug the laptop in to recharge it)

I also took my knitting along. If you have a hobby that is portable and doesn't take up an heck of a lot of room,go for it.

Remember space in the truck is limited.
