Default turn off the engine????? to do or not to do

I've heard talk that there's gonna be new laws forcing you to turn off your engine when stuck in traffic. But wouldn't that cause a lot of problems like wasting fuel? What do u guys think about turning off the engines when stuck in traffic?

the great state of "Californication" and the CARB board are looking into installed devices (perhaps the computer) to shut down the engines when you are at idle and IN trafic for more than 15 minutes, unless you shift gears.

now, i HAVE BEEN in Californification" traffic, and you don't get to shift gears all that often, SO i would "pre-sume" all a driver has to do is go from low into 1st, then let out the clutch.....

fine for a "regular manual transmission"....

the automatics, or the automatic shifting transmissions ( the ones that still have a clutch)......i don't know, but there too, i would "surmise" all a driver has to do is put it into "manual mode"..........

gota love the CARB and "Californification".....

because, most certainly, ALL STATES WILL FOLLOW.........

Default Land of Fruits and nuts

Sooo...when the starter goes out from over use, how much do you think the fines will be for obstructing traffic? We all KNOW, they will find a way to fine us, they always do.

it will probably be mandatory to have a back up starter system, like an air operated like the olden days.

I remember those from CF! OK, so now we have...APU's AND Air start systems. That should help the O/O's budget. Sure am glad to be a company driver
