Default Need Help With A CB Scanner

Hey guys,

Im new around here, and was wondering if you could help me out with a problem.

I have a older Radio Shack Pro - 94 CB scanner.

I have seemed to loose the back plate to it that holds the extra two batteries. Do any of you by any chance know the part # or any info as to making this scanner work again?

here are some pics to show what is missing.
Thanks

you could always take it to radio shack and see if they can look it up by model number. if not there is always duct tape! i am sure it would work!

i have a radio shack scanner as well and all the batteries fit into the compartment via a "battery block".....yeah, you have to go to radio shack for this one, but don't expect a cure........

or, since it seems to take 4 AA batteries, you can buy the 4 battery holder at radio shack, and remove what you have, then solder the new holder in place, giving you the 4 batteries you need.....just make sure you solder the wires correctly..

as for a cover, check around trash day for anyone that throws away broken equipment, or just ask co-workers or friends if they are throwing away old am/fm radios, weather radios, as some of those battery compartment covers, "might" fit....but if not, then make one up with a plastic coffee can cover, just enough to "wedge it" into the back.......

what you will need is a battery pack, much like one of these.....

RadioShack.com

but, take it to radio shack, tell them you want the 4 pack AA Battery holder.

heck, you can even use the battery holder from an old radio controled car/truck. their battery pack holder is removable.....

then there is this

NiMH Packs 3.6-48V
