Default Don't want to strike; Ok call it National Call in Sick Day....Shut the Country Down.

Everyone gets sick, everyone calls in sick to work at one time or the other. (of course we do have some die hard truckers who don't. I'm not knocking anyone but it is a fact.)

Company Drivers can call in Sick too. If a company driver has the flue, throwing up and the runs, you mean to tell me you'd still drive your Truck? That would be just crazy.

Sure you're under a load, It needs/has to be there. (Unless someone is hauling body parts I don't see where Any load Has to be there.)

With the Flu and all the buggs going around, someone please tell me the Truckers NEVER get sick. Of course we do. We're HUMAN, anyway last I checked.

So CAll In Sick, it's just too bad if everyone does it the same three days. When I say everyone I mean the Whole Country! Not just Truck Drivers.

Of course this will NEVER happen, but IF it did or even if you could get all the Truckers Company, Owner Opps ect. to do it, then and only then would we get their attention.

So far today the report is, the West Coast Trucking has stopped.

East Coast Trucking is slowing down, (Trucks on the Interstates are moving at only 20 miles per hour) Way to go Truckers! You're making the news out there.

I'm hearing this from our Company Big Wigs, who are listening and watching the News. Our Company says they wish everyone would strike.

Me too.

i read your profile, i see where you are not a driver....hmmm.......

so you know for sure a company driver will not get fired...??

ever hear of "retribution"....??

dispatchers do it all the time........

you didn't hear the "cluck of chickens", you heard drivers making a day's pay. maybe your house is 100% paid for, but mine ain't, for another 30 years....think i'm gonna park my (company) truck and lose a days pay for a losing cause...???

nothing will come of this "shutdown"......except more good used trucks becoming available for sale real soon when the o/o's go out of business.

they can't afford the fuel (they say), but yet, many were driving in circles around the various state house's, and else where's, doing what.....c'mon now, doing what.......??

BURNING EXPENSIVE FUEL.......that they say they cannot afford....??? that's not much a sense making idea now is it...???

IN FACT, several Boston news channels are barely reporting on this shut down....in some news stories, especially the traffic reports from this morning, and this evening, there are trucks on the road...!!

i'm glad YOU want to lend your support to the truckers....but frankly, you have NO IDEA what can happen to a company driver if he parks his truck.....

My Dad was a trucker ALL his life as was his Father. I've been raised around them & still hang with them. When my Dad went on strike friends & family helped out until it was over. That's what you call standing up & being an AMERICAN!
