Woohoo, I got my offer letter friday. I transfer to start driving trucks in June.

The next step will be to get fulltime.

Well, I guess I'm not completely in. I still have to pass training.

Your going to be an RTD for FedEx Express? If so, I'd say 8 months ain't to bad to go from handler/courier to RTD. Stick with it. RTD is a much sought after position.

Yep, RTD .

Were you an RTD?

It was actually 15 months, I went from DOT Hander to RTD. I was actually locked in for 18 months, but my manager let me go :)

No, but I know some folks on that side of the fence and have a keen understanding of how things work.

Handler to RTD is awesome. Congratulations. You have been given a tremendous opportunity with an excellent company. Like I said, stick to it. Take the company provided training, be a reliable employee and you will reap the benefits of an excellent career choice in the future.
