Default Forgot log book

Picked up my new/used truck in salt lake city today and drove it to my G-friends house in ogden towing my jeep, 50 miles, and I have a 45 day permit .

Problem is i left my over night bag in Idaho and my log book was inside it. In the next day or two I need to drive it to idaho,I may be bobtailing it with or without the jeep through the port of entry in utah and idaho, Do I need to even log for the 140 mile trip, should i pick up a log book at fly J, or just avoid the 2 ports ?

Is there someone that could fax the past eight days of your logs to you?

I would buy a logbook and estimate your hours for the previous days. Hopefully you had 34 hours off and can take a restart. If you are questioned, say a silent prayer and hope for the best but be truthful. With a little luck the weighmaster will understand that you were in a hurry to see your girlfriend.

I would get a new one. Have your friend read the old one to you and update new one.

You could, though I'm not telling you too, falsify logs up to current status. If I were considering this, I'd make sure to include a 34 hour restart in the past few days. This would make it appear beyond reproach.
