Default TracRac

I have heard about TracRac Headache racks for my Ford Explorer Sport Trac and I was thinking about purchasing one. Has anyone ever bought any TracRac products? I just need a little input about their products. Thanks.

there are at least two styles of track racks.

the movable type

and

the fixed in place type.

either one, to me is expensive. then too, very easy to steal, unless you buy the optional locking system.

i would prefer (myself) the headache rack i have seen, only i cannot remember who makes it. i'm not sure its TracRack though.

that allows me to use the bed, open up the rear sliding window, carry a ladder, lumber etc. but it too is around $300.

here is the "Back Rack" that i am talking about.

BackRack Headache Rack

there are others, for instance all chrome, but to me personally, i don't want to keep up polising all the extra chrome.

Ya, I own my own landscaping business located in Massachusetts, so I figured TracRac would be good to use for my tools, but I think that TracRac racks are mostly used for kayaks it seems like. I appreciate your input.

lumber, ladders, pipes, as well. if a person is a contractor then the trac rack is good to have i suppose. like i said, the headache rack i linked you to would do me just fine, plus it doesn't make a "personal" pick-up truck look like a working truck.......for a landscaping business, i would surmise tool boxes mounted on the bed rails or in the bed to be a better option, so you can lock up your smaller equipment..???
