There isn't enough time to post just the LTL companies that have gone out of business,or merged with other companies.
I know before deregulations started in 1980 there were around 3500 union LTL companies.
Now Theres just Yellow with the companies they've bought out.
ABF,and maybe a handful of smaller companies.
So like I say theres just not enough time to start posting the names of just the union trucking companies that are gone.
To bad to hear that Jevic has joined the trucking companies that are history now.
I had a good friend that was working for them around the Rochester area.
I know Jevic started out as a family business, the company was named after the original owners two kids,Jeff, and Vicy,I'm not sure of the spelling for the girl?
The first owner sold out to Yellow, later Yellow spun them off of their operation,I guess they didn't work out for their big picture?
