Default log recap help?

hi guys, I'm confused and was hoping i could get some help here with my recap. it looks like i went over my 70/8 by 3.25 hrs but on the recap that is on the log sheet i still have 8.25 hrs to work.
here is my rundown for the week
5/17 34 hr restart
5/18 11.5 hrs
5/19 7.5
5/20 12.25
5/21 9.25
5/22 6.0
5/23 9.25
5/24 5.5
5/25 12
now as of 5/12 i totaled up 61.75 for col A, 8.25 col B, and 73.25 col C

the way it is looking to me I can not move my truck. if thats the case when will i be able to start rolling again?
if i start after midnight to night wont i gain back the 11.5 from the 18th?
I have a delivery that needs to be there tomorrow. I'm about 6 hours from the cosignee.
thanks for the help
jeff

If you actually did that you are correct you would be in violation. However, if at midnight, last night, you had only run 8.75 hours and shut down at 3:15 this morning it would be different. You would have finished your 70th hour at midnight. After the drop of 11.5 from 11/18 at midnight, you now have available hours today. Factor in your 10 hour break, you would have started at 3:15 AM, you can restart your 14 hour rule at 1:15 this afternoon with 8.25 hours to work today. Hope this helps. Keep it safe.

PM me if you need more help.

yep your over your hrs. what time did you stop yesterday ? have you driven today ? and what time is it due tomorrow ?

what i am trying to figure out is if it is possible to do a 34 to refresh the hours. but either way your gonna have to "adjust" your log book for last week.

thanks guys,
I started yesterday @ 0600 cdt and parked @ 18:15 cdt. with my 10 hr in effect I could have came back on @ 0415. but I wasn't sure if I could or not.
So as of 18:15 yesterday I was in violation for 3.25 hours. but as of midnight I earned 11.5 back to work today?
Will I have to deduct the overage from the 11.5?
thanks again
Jeff
oh yeah, no i haven't moved at all since lastnight and by my qualcomm it looks as if i have until 23:59 edt to get the load delivered

Yes you'd have to deduct the overage from
11.5. The approach most guys would use, is that a violation is a violation. One you would definitely get nailed on the other you might not. Most OTR companies "MISS" those things unless the paperwork is staring them in the face. Most drivers would rewrite their log, the way I mentioned in the last post and hope safety misses it, if you have a QC. Normally my understanding is most do, unless you fueled. They sometimes match your tolls also, though not usually.

The main thing is BE VERY CAREFUL FOR THE NEXT 7 DAYS. IF YOU WERE TO HAVE AN ACCIDENT, THIS WOULD BE USED AS GROUNDS FOR A LAWSUIT.

at least with the qc the dot auditors can't get those records they are only given to them if the company allows it and mine does not. the bad thing is with the tolls. I just got off the mass turnpike to get to this pilot where i am sitting now. i guess my best option would be to sit here until 0430 then i would have a 34 hr restart. good thing i don't have a true appointment time. I know the company wont like it but then again they don't like being helpful to the drivers either lol
