Default Am I eligible for a CDL?

I want to be a trucker. It is my dream job- driving all day and all night. There is a problem though- I have gotten a few tickets... and I've been in a few wrecks. Will I still be able to get a CDL? Will trucking companies hire me? Will the trucking companies be able to tell if I have been in a wreck before? Can they view insurance reports? Do the insurance companies report wrecks to the DMV? Can I get my DMV record cleared?

seems like "everybody's dream job" is to be a truck driver............and it really is a nightmare job too, so why do people dream of this kind of work...??

as for you, yes you CAN get a CDL, but with what you claim to be on your driving record, not too many companies are going to find you to be a good canidate for a job. you need to concentrate on getting your driving record cleaned up first.

EVERY ONE will be able to see your driving record..........nothing is secret.......

my best suggestion would be to find work else where, keep out of trouble with your driving, let time pass so your record can be cleared, then go to driving school. your driving record speaks volumes of you and your ability to stay safe on the road. right now, you have demonstrated you are unsafe..............

Default I should be more clear...

Most of those incidents happened when I was a teenager. I have had a relatively clean driving record since then, but will the trucking companies be able to see my insurance records or any reports saying how many wrecks I've been in, or just how many tickets I've gotten? The police were never at any of these wrecks, so the only way for the dmv to know about them is if the insurance companies told them. Also, how do I get my record cleared?

You have to go to the DMV and get a Motor Vehicle Report. If there were no tickets issued and you were not at fault, and it has been more than 3 yrs since incidents then your record may be clean. If they are still on your MVR then the only true way to get rid of them is time. A clean driving record for a min. of three yrs is usually required. I had some accidents when I was a teenager also (young and dumb) I am pretty sure we have all been there. Get your driving record, Get your cdl permit and look for REPUTABLE driving schools. Do not go to a school that just gets you to pass the test. These cdl factories put a huge blemish on pro drivers. I learned at Stevens Transport, although it is a difficult company to work for, their training is excellent. They taught me how to drag a trailor not pass a test. You also will have to go out with a trainor for a while this person needs to be compatible with you, they have to show you what is needed to do the job, not just drive foward. Us experienced drivers are getting tired of cdl factories pumping out steering wheel pushers. All in all you probably could get your cdl right away, but become a DRIVER, not a steering wheel pusher.

Hey i recent that???
Do you maybe mean "I reflect that" or "I respect that" or "I resemble that" or "I resent that" ??

Unite has the E at the end, otherwise you're depicting a UNIT or a group or a section of something, but not a whole. you could as well be saying "Steering Wheel Pushers UNIT of America".

Biggets is close but not BIGOTS with 1 G and an O.

I understand the spelling of words as they sound but this only applies to those of us that CAN spell words correctly.

How does Pushing a Steering Wheel accomplish anything??
Isn't pushing the Throttle, Clutch and Brake Pedals more effective??
Wouldn't pushing the Steering Wheel in effect, destroy said item quickly, therein making ones driving UNIT useless??

The UNIT of Steering Wheel Pushers has become UNITED by former Steering Wheel Holders and the BIGOTS are prevalent just to help our namesake.
