Default nNeed help fast

My hubby put diesel #2 in a KW 660. It is suppose to only have ULSD. We tried a gallon of Lucas. The exhaust is getting hot and there are bells going off and engine lights are on. Is there anything else we can do to remedy this problem? I am afraid it has already done some damage. It quit after we put some ULSD in it with the Lucas, but started again after restarting the engine.. Now we have a light that shows what I think is hot exhaust. It has a thermometer and what looks like blowing smoke or vapors..Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
Foggydew

I have read you can drain the #2 diesel out, replace all fuel filters and then refill with the ultra low sulphur but that is BEFORE running it. Sounds like the damage is already done. I believe the damage to the engine can get up to $10,000.00 to fix everything after putting normal diesel in it.
A very costly error from what I have read and heard from shop mechanics.

i would NOT start mixing things in the tanks...cocktails can get us drunk, but can highly damage an engine. use only APPROVED diesel additives, and i can assure you, de-icer, gasoline, paint thinner, are NOT APPROVED.

i would say take it to a dealer. it's going to cost you, because for things to get hot in the exhaust, i'm betting something got melted as well and needs replacemant, and no warranty is going to cover this. they (the dealer) will know what caused this, voiding out the warranty i'm sure.
