Default Considering Driver Solutions/Averitt Truck

I currently work in Security and seriously considering more reliable income stream like trucking. I'm thinking about going to Driver Solutions CDL training in Little Rock and thought that of the three primary companies that sponsor that school Averitt appeared to have the best package in terms of medical costs and being home every week.

Any serious problems or complaints about either Driver Solutions training or working for Averitt after graduation from CDL training?

Default Hello from Houston

I think youll like it at Averitt, Ive been in LTL all my life, worked for several companies, and I like it here at AE. At least they give you a start like it should be in trucking, put you in good equipment, and pay you well. Dont listen to the haters, cause no job is perfect, if you read the Averitt forums, and all the others, you will see that there is not as much complaining at AE as there is at others....Good Luck!!!

Why pay for truck school when Schnieder does it for free and gives you a job? I went through them and the company was alright, even though they are cheap bastards with sub standard benifets. I had some family issues and had to quit before my year, had to pay back the school but hey, life happens. Worth a shot IMO.
