Cement Mixer truck driving has its own Foibles.
There are good days and bad as with everything else related to driving jobs.
What type(s) trucks would you be driving??
Front Loader, Rear Loader??
I've driven Cement Mixer Trucks and there is mainly ONE THING to be aware of: TOP HEAVINESS!!
Unless the Mixer Barrel is on the ground, there will always be TOP HEAVINESS.
Watch your Turns and pay attention to the Ground at Construction sites as well as Home Contractor Building sites.
Cement Mixer trucks will mire up in the seemingly safest of Grounds and if you become stuck and it is YOUR fault, know that the tow bill can be a mere $500.00 and that price is for 2002.
I'm NOT wanting to scare you off of this avocation, I just WANT you to be fully aware of what you're considering!!
There IS exercise involved, so if you don't want a work out then don't do this job.
The OTHER FUN of Cement Mixers is the cleaning of the Barrel as Cement adheres to everything and sometimes one has to enter the Barrel with a Jackhammer to remove built up Cement that is compromising the Load amount ability. I've done this and boy oh boy isn't it a hoot!! Watch out though because it is easy to punch a hole in the Barrel rendering it useless. This job (jackhammering) is BEST in the Winter.
In addition to what Fudog has stated, you should consider alternatives to your present position if not only for you but for your Loved Ones as well as the others on the Roads!!
I Hope The BEst uv WELLness 2-u-n-urs-n ALL Adventures!!
