The driver needed to learn how to say NO! to Crete.

Drivers, keep this in mind:YOUR COMPANY LEGALLY CANNOT FIRE YOU FOR FOLLOWING THE HOS. IF YOU ARE OUT OF HOURS, YOU ARE OUT OF HOURS,PERIOD. IF THEY TELL YOU TO KEEP MOVING,DOCUMENT IT AND TELL THEM TO SEND THAT MESSAGE OVER THE QUALCOM. THEN TELL THEM NO!
Now, if they try and starve you out for not being a "TEAM PLAYER", look for another carrier because they are not worth a D@#$.

This driver lost his lively hood, most likely his family and took the lives of seven people because he was afaird to say NO.

I feel sorry for the familes of the decease and the drivers family but now the driver will get what he deservses.

And as for Crete, the dispatcher should be this drivers cellmate for pushing the driver past the HOS.
