need help for freight rates

i need help from some one that runs 48 states and can help with what freight rates are averaging about to start driving again after 3 years off the road.with fuel prices now i don't no whats we should get for running out bound from va.beach virginia.i will be running 48 states but not new york city . will be driving for a man that only has one truck and will be getting 32 % of what the load pays to start off .we are going to be based out of tidewater , va.i no the rates are different around the country.if any one can help with what general freight rates are east, west, north , and south .lyion
