| | Yet another reason I love my job...
I was originally due out yesterday at 5:00 pm to go to Colorado. Unfortunately my father had a heart attack on Friday morning and is in the hospital awaiting open heart surgery for five (possibly six) bypasses.
I called off the Colorado load and explained the situation to my dispatcher. Instead of losing time from work, they're letting me run short shuttle loads, trailer swaps and take doubles trailers to our doubles lot in Indiana. That way I'm still making money but never more than a few hours away from home in case something happens.
I know my last company never would have done that for me. I love how Dot shows they actually DO care about their employees and work with them in almost any situation.

however, if it were ME, i'd be in the hospital till at least he's in his own room.....
no job means so much i'm not going to be there, for family.....
but, that's ME.....everyone else cannot do this....
my dad by the way is 85.........

my dad by the way is 85......... | I was there from Friday until yesterday, but he pretty much ran us all out. He's stable, receiving good care and in good spirits. I'll be there Wednesday for his surgery and afterward for his recovery.

and i do wish him and your family well.....
but judging by his past actions, i'd say he'd probably punch the doctors lights out if the doctor doesn't do the operation right...!! |

medic92 you have a very rare employer to help you out like they are doing.
It really makes you feel like you don't mind going the extra mile for them, from time to time.
Heres my prayer.
"I pray in the power of Jesus name, that your Dad will do fine with the operation.
That he will make a full recovery."
The Holy Bible states two,or more asking, agreeing, and believing without doubt God will honour this request,in Jesus name it will be done.
I'm believing, and agreeing in this request,in Jesus name.
Now you do the same,medic92 God Bless,Perry

They performed quintuple bypass surgery on my father yesterday. He came through fine and he's already up and walking today. He's sore and wants to go home. lol
He'll get out of the hospital Tuesday or Wednesday provided there are no complications. He'll be out working in the yard within a couple of weeks, cursing dandelions and crabgrass if I know him.
Thank you for the prayers and well-wishes!
