i've gotten a few spankings (ie. letters of instruction) for inappropriate behavior on the forum and disrespecting a staff member. sounds ALOT like being at con-way."we welcome your participation" as long as you say what we want and conform. i joined this forum to get away from the corporate straight jacket not to have a gag installed. i've also been a member of other forums and none are this uptight. anyway, it's been real and it's been fun but.....it hasn't been real fun...good luck ya'll......later

That's too bad your leaving.
I wouldn't call it spankings at all. Just small reminders. I got them prior to being a mod.
When anyone joins they agree that they have read the rules and will abide by them. It's that simple.

I frequent a bunch of forums myself and they are not all the same.
Some use gore, extreme vulgarity,profanity etc.
You have to follow the tone of each forum.

Anyway, don't let the so called LOI's bother you, you are not the first member that's claimed foul.

well how lucky am i to have missed all the excitment, (damned job).....for whatever its worth, i got "whacked" or "spanked" or "spoken to", a time or two myself.....oh well........even the "best of us" get reprimanded from time to time...

did it bother me....?? hell yeah......but the mods here really do have thier hands full and as volunteer's, they try thier best.....even when i'm the one getting "spanked".........!!!!

well, take any "spanking" in stride.....it'll go away soon enough, God knows that I KNOW THIS........

it DOES TAKE a severe "whacking" to get you banned.....so let it slide, and remember......even we "really good people ()"... get a "mafia whacking" every now and then......

just be sure to have your "cement overcoat" ready when you "sleep with the fishes".......
