Default HELP I'm not allowed to idle truck?

my company won't allow me to idle my truck during my 10 rest break, does anyone have any good advice on heating and cooling my truck other than a generator wich my company is too cheap to invest in one?

how are they going to know you are idling...do you have Qualcomm or some other tattle-tale device....???

if it is hot, you do what YOU NEED TO DO to get your rest/sleep

if it is cold, you do what YOU NEED TO DO to get your rest/sleep.

i do know of the "electric blanket" that i believe is actually a heating pad, you place under the sheet to warm the bed......but frankly, that's for a cool night, not sub-zero cold temps...

as for the summer, i'll be darned if i'm going to sweat and stay awake using only a fan to keep cool....i need cool, dry, comfortable air........

when you're on the road, you NEED your sleep and rest.......PERIOD....

if they still haunt you about this, then move onto another place.....

QFT! any company telling you that is NOT worth your time. remember the goober on the phone or typing at you on the qualcomm is in a nice air conditioned room . and undoubtedly getting a bonus if his fleet uses less fuel, old scam they use. ill assume your new and say welcome to trucking. get used to this type of BS and lies. and run the air to stay cool. im guessing your near ST louis as your last post was about the st clair scale. its going to be hot all night so idle the truck. and call safety on monday and ask them.
