Recession? What Recession?

The GDP grew at 1.9% in the second quarter of 08. it grew a little over 1% the first quarter of 08. In fact ever since Bush took office, there has only been 2 quarters of negative growth. The first was in the the 3rd quarter of 01. Remember 9-11? And the second was in the fourth quarter of 07. Right when the housing bubble burst.
Other than that. Since Bush took office the GDP has grown at a rate of 2% to 2.5% in 8 different quarters, 2.5 to 3% 4 different quarters, above 4% three different quarters, and one quarter of almost 8% growth. So out of 29 quarters only 2 have been down. There has never been a recession under Bush, and may finish out his term without one.
Just wanna shut up all you people out there that keep saying President Bush has destroyed our economy. Facts are Facts. My source was the Official Bureau of Economic Analysis website. I couldn't figure out how to download the graph they had on the GDP history. Sorry. But I didn't make these #'s up

You mean GW who urged the Fed to reduce rates and create a housing/credit crisis that will take years and years to correct itself? You mean GW who watched as housing values doubled in 5 years and are now plummeting and going to be at 1998 levels before this market corrects itself? You mean GW who during his 8 years watched as Americans for the 1st time in US history actually got themselves into a "NEGATIVE" savings?

Question, what does Bush have to gain by inflating fuel prices? And how did he inflate fuel prices? By going to war? What?
Truth is, we went to war for basically 2 reasons. 1st reason, was ol' Saddam was thumbing his nose at the U.N. sanctions put on him after his attempt to take over Kuwait. The U.N. refused to do anything about it, so Bush stepped in, gave him a warning, Saddam ignored him, so went in. As far as the so called lie about WBD's. There was no lie. Bush had information, that everyone else on the Senate Intelligence Committee saw too, that said Saddam had WMD's. Being wrong is not lying. The 2nd reason we went to war, was yes for OIL. Yep, I said oil.Because the dems won't let us drill, we have to get our oil from over seas, and we can't have a madman in charge of the oil.

If you think about our current energy crises, who can you really blame? Well, the dems have refused to let us drill for years, and are very willing to let America stay dependent on other countries for our oil.

As far as Bush sitting in that classroom while the plane planes hit the towers. What was he supposed to do? When the 1st plane hit, and the told him, no one at that time thought it was an attack. Nothing would have changed that day, if he had flew out of there. No one knew what was going that day, and he couldn't do anything till he more info anyways. What do you think he should have done at that moment?

So if WE are not in a Recession YET, why are there so many People out of work, Broke, Starving, Homeless, Trucking Companies going out of Business, other Companies going out of Business, etc.??
