Default out of service

i have been out of service for 6 years running a non trucking business.
i want to get back into a truck.
are there any laws prohibiting me from doing so that i should be aware of.
i still have a valid c.d.l. / haz mat /tank/combo endorsement.
i have 20 years experience.

Short answer is "no." Long one is you might have trouble finding a job with a large carrier with out some refresher course.

He is correct. Most carriers will want you to have been actively driving within the past 3 years. Otherwise a "refresher course" will be requested prior to hiring you on.
